Today a storm moved through the area and after some initial disappointment that the supposedly great shooting of the rather overwhelming cloud coverage didn't show the desired results I simply decided to doctor the pictures a bit.

We all know the hazzle to travel, especially these countless hours sitting around at airports and be bored to bits. Sometimes though, the weather gods (or whatever instance is responsible for stunning landscapes, pictures and views) jump right in with some truly remarkable time wasters of the best sort.

So it happened to me while traveling back from SCIP's 2007 Annual Competitive Intelligence Conference in New York City and I was easily amazed at that sight.

I took some more photos during that US stay (well, quite a couple in fact), if you are interested, here is the NYC photo tour.

Step-on

Chicago Theater

Spending a little time on a business trip to the SCIP Chicago conference 2009 I was impressed with this town because of the easy access, space to walk and explore and the friendliness of the people.

On my last trip to Chicago I shot this photo in the midst of too many smart people wondering about bulls and bears these days.

Aren't yellow flowers signs of hope though? Well, you'll be the judge.

I thought this to be a funny sight on a business trip to the SCIP Chicago conference 2009 where the economic downturn left scars left and right at the conference (attendance, activities) and the business community in general those days.
